Peggy Doss Bibey, age 76, died Friday at Tara Plantation in Carthage.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (12/5/2011)at 11:00 AM at Ephesus Baptist Church with Pastor Dr. David Burroughs and The Rev. Eugene Ussery officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Grove Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Irene Hardy Doss. She worked in the restaurant business her whole life and owned and operated the Ice Cream Shoppe in Carthage for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bibey.
She is survived by four daughters, Wanda O'Brien of Lynchburg, VA; Angie Prevost, Robin Childress and Amy Bunnell all of Carthage; a sister, Joyce Gill of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Fry & Prickett Funeral home and at other times at the residence of Amy Bunnell.
