Peggy Hunt Tullis, age 75 died peacefully Christmas morning at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Pittsboro Seventh-day Adventist Church conducted by Pastor Ken Blake and Pastor Louis Badehorst. Burial will follow in Chatham Memorial Park on U.S. Highway 64 at Siler City
Born in Marion, Indiana, she was raised by her mother and step-father Dorothy Houston Stinson and Marion Stinson. In 1965, she moved to North Carolina from New York and eventually settled in Pittsboro in 1976. She joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1970 and remained an active member of Pittsboro SDA Church holding various offices over the years. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father and one grand-son William Hoffman.
She is survived by her husband Buddy C. Tullis; a daughter Lucinda Hoffman of Pittsboro; a son Dennis Tullis of Pittsboro; daughter-in-law and care giver Susan Tullis; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Griffin Chapel in Pittsboro and at other times at the family residence.
