Pryor P. Moon, Jr., 97, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the FirstHealth Hospice House in West End. 

Junior was born in Snellville, Georgia on February 3, 1927, to the late Pryor Sr. and Gladys Braselton Moon. He is also preceded in death by all of his siblings. 

He honorably served his country during WWII. Junior is remembered as a hardworking man, who loved his family. He enjoyed carpentry, beekeeping, fishing, and woodworking. 

He loved the Lord. He was a member of Culdee Presbyterian Church and loved his church family.

Junior is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Richardson Moon, of 56 years. His three children: Susan & Dannie Jackson of Southern Pines, Carrie & Todd Zeh of Pinehurst, and Steven & Catherine Moon of Pinehurst; his grandchildren: Brent, Myea & Ethan, Morgan, J.P., Luke, Daniel, Anna Kay, and Hadley, his nieces and nephews, and cousins.   

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Culdee Presbyterian Church. Pastor Heath Caddell and Pastor Connie Weaver will be officiating. A time of fellowship will occur after the service in the church’s Fellowship Hall.
