Rachel Alice Brady

Rachel Alice Brady, 89, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at Peak Resources in Carthage, NC.

Rachel was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.  She believed in working and caring for her home and family.   Rachel began working at a very young age and worked her entire life until her health began to fail.  She held jobs in textiles for years and then as those jobs left the area, she held jobs serving the public in many ways. Rachel had a beautiful voice, she loved to sing, write songs and poems.  Enjoying God’s creation, watching the birds in her yard and her flower garden gave her a lot of joy.   She always cared about her appearance and liked to dress nicely even until the end of her life. She was a daughter of the late Baxter and Blennie Stewart Brady and was preceded in death by son: Gary Brady; granddaughter: Angel Garner; sisters: Dorothy, Margaret; brothers: Paul, June.

Rachel is survived by sons: Odell Brady (Doris), Michael Brady (Wanda), David Brady; grandchildren: Mike, Shawn; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at High Falls Methodist Church with Pastor Chris Wilson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to High Falls Christian Church, 1159 Hwy 22, High Falls  NC 27259.
