Ralph Blue Taylor, age 79, died Saturday (June 14, 2008) at Pinelake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P. M. Monday at Emmanuel Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Eugene Ussery and the Rev. Avon Craven. A private family burial will take place at a later date. A visitation with the family will be held immediately following the service at the church.
A native of MooreCounty, he was a son of the late Sam and Ruth Richardson Taylor. He was preceded in death by two grandsons Jason Taylor and Steven Whitaker.
He is survived by: three daughters Glenda Wilson and her husband Hal of Sanford, Gail Davis and her husband Mike of Cameron, Jenny Thomas and her husband Eddie of West End; three sons Alex Taylor and his fiance Sherry of Sanford, Sammy Taylor and his wife Jamie of Vass and David Taylor and his wife Joyce of Carthage; a sister Norma Blakely of Sanford; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of David and Joyce Taylor, 800 Jody Road, Carthage.
