Raymond Earl Moore

Raymond E. “Pete” Moore 74,  died Friday, December 2, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family.

  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Browns Chapel Christian Church, with the Reverend Jeff Karnes, Reverend Jamie Hinson, Reverend Robert Scott and Reverend Ralph Smith, Jr.  officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friend prior to the service beginning at 12:30.

  Pete loved his family, especially granddaughter, Anna and enjoyed spending time with them.  He served his country in the United States Army National Guard.  Pete worked in the textile industry for many years.  He enjoyed reading, cooking, going to flea markets and he loved his dogs.

  Pete was a son of the late William Dolphus and Cora Alice Sanders Moore and was preceded in death by  sister: Brenda Perkins; brother: Bill Moore.

  Pete is survived by wife of 52 years Jannie, of the home; son: Raymond Eugene Moore, of Robbins;  granddaughter: Anna Marie Moore; daughter in law: Christina Moore; sister: Annie Lee Ritter, of Robbins; brother: Roland E. Moore, of Star; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

  Memorial may be made to: Browns Chapel Christian Church, 608 Browns Chapel Church Road, Robbins, NC 27325 or FirstHealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374..
