Rebecca Catherine McNeill High 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Baaseiah Family Care Home, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, December 7, 2015 at Eagle Springs United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend Eric Joyce officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Rebecca was a native of Moore County. She worked for Dr. Vanore and Dr. Brady and then returned to school, graduating from High Point College, with a teaching Degree and later received her Masters from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She retired in 1977 from the Randolph County School System . She enjoyed to reading, flower gardening and family genealogy. She loved her family and all the time spent with them. Rebecca was a daughter of the late Adolphus and Rosa Ann Parsons McNeill.
Rebecca is survived by daughter Mary Schurr and husband William, of Charlotte; brothers: Sam McNeill and wife Betty; George McNeill and wife Rosalie; nieces: Carolyn Needham and husband Henry; Joanna Mason and husband Gary; nephews: Mark McNeill and wife Libby, Coy McNeill and wife Cindy, John McNeill, Charles McNeill and wife Kimberly.
The family will receive friends from 12.00 to 1:30 PM at the Kennedy Funeral Home on Monday, December 7, 2015. Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the High Family
