We both so remember the Richard who was so fun, a great friend, dancer, and wild motor cycle driver. He worried the heck out of me with his motor cycle, but he loved his adventure. I know to he love his family and you Lara. Life creates so many challenges of all of us, and all of you have met them full force. I know you all had many close calls with Richards medical challenges, and met them head on for many years. Seeing so many of you are in NC I know your family is close and that to is Richard. I wish I could be there for the memorial, but it is impossible so will be there in spirit and love. Betty and Mike Sammer

  10. Lara and family, Jay and I were so sorry to hear this news and wish we could have been there today. I only met Richard a few times but I honestly enjoyed every moment I spent in his company. He was warm, friendly, and fun to talk to. I still remember how he talked me into joining a jam session at a party you threw some years back–he was a good musician too! I know he will be missed by many; may happy memories be a comfort to you all.
