Richard Dockery Covington, Sr. 80 passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at FirstHealth Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC.
Richard was a native of Moore County. He was a plumber and worked for over 40 years for Fields Heating and Air Conditioning. Richard was a son of the late Carl Everrett and Ina Beatrice Covington.
He is survived by wife: Lorraine; son: Richard D. Covington, Jr., of Candor; daughters: April Ann Marin, Elizabeth Marie Covington, of Candor; 6 grandchildren.
Powell Funeral Home and Crematory of Southern Pines is assisting the family.
