Richard Powers Credle

Richard P. Credle, 87, passed away on February 14, 2025, in Aberdeen, North Carolina.

Born on April 9, 1937, in Utica, New York; Richard led a remarkable life defined by dedication to both career and community. Richard’s career took him across the world as he worked in many locations. He left a lasting impact on those he worked with. Richard also served his country with honor as a Vietnam Navy veteran.

Richard loved his church community and spent more than 50 years as a dedicated Sunday School Teacher.

Richard was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mildred “Millie” Troutman Credle, his parents, Bernice and Jane Powers Credle, and his brother, Michael Credle.

He is survived by his brothers: Tom Credle and David Credle, as well as many nieces and nephews, who will cherish his memory.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Page United Methodist Church; 115 E. Main Street, Aberdeen, North Carolina, 28315.

Memorials may be sent to PMUMC to the general fund in memory of Dick Credle.
