Robert Clarence Purvis 89, died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 18, 2014 surrounded by his family.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, where he was a lifelong member, with the Reverend Lindsay Collins officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. A native of Moore County. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time with family. Robert was a talented craftsman; building houses and many cabinets all around Moore County.
Robert was a son of the late Clarence Lyndon and Nusie Kidd Purvis. He was preceded in death by son: Johnnie Purvis; sister: Alice Mae Baber; brothers: Wesley and Vernon Purvis.
Robert is survived by his wife of 69 years Treva; daughter: Joyce Woodell and husband Tommy ;son: Jeff Purvis and wife Bonnie; sister: Dot English; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
