Robert Guthrie 'Gus' Crissman

Robert 'Gus' Crissman, age 79, of Carthage, died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.A‚A 
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday at Cool Springs Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. William Cashion. Burial will follow at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home, Inc.
A native of Moore Co., he was the son of the late Aaron Frank Crissman & Flora Phillips Crissman. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean War. Early in life he worked for Glendon Talc Mine and the NC Department of Correction. Later he owned and Operated Crissman Septic Tank, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Barber Crissman, a daughter, Linda Diane Crissman; a sister, Mary Alice 'Lindy' Preslar and a brother, Garland Crissman.
He is survived by his son - Robert W Crissman of Sophia, NC; two nieces - Brenda Bailey, Melinda Reaves; two nephews - Rocky Crissman, Michael Crissman; a grandson - Jeb V. Crissman; a granddaughter - Carman M Crissman.
