Robert William Wesner, age 75, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Peak Resources – Pinelake in Carthage. 

Born May 26, 1948, in Garrett, Indiana; he was the son of the late Cleal Wesner and Carmela Fabrizio. Robert worked as a Process Engineer for Aro and Ingersoll Rand for 24 years, and later for Corning and Caterpillar before retiring. 

Robert was active in Boy Scouts, serving as Scout Master with Troop 582 for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Barbara Wesner, two sons; Matthew (Vicky), Scott (Jamie), of Carthage, and his daughter, Brooke Bowman (David) of Seven Lakes, his sister; Joyce Ann Wesner of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and 8 grandchildren: Daniel, Kayla, Victoria, Olivia, Hope, Claire, Jackson, Maggie and Bryson; 4 great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Savannah, Eli, and Sam.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage. 

A funeral mass will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 300 Dundee Road, Pinehurst, NC at 12:00, burial will be at Cross Hill Cemetery in Carthage, immediately following the service.
