Ronald Albert Emmons, 90, of 483 Calvin Road, Robbins, died Monday, September 8, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Emmons was an auto repairman, specializing in paint and body repair. He worked at Carthage Body Shop between 1956-81. He served in China, Burma, and India during World War II as a Tech Sergeant. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elma Jane Joyner.
Mr. Emmons is survived by:
Wife: Lucille Baber Emmons.
Sons: Kenneth Ronald Emmons and wife Vicki of Robbins;
Perry Emmons and wife Tobbie of Robbins.
Daughter: Marilyn Matthews and husband Dale of Snow Camp.
Half-Brother: Charles Russell Emmons and wife Sue of Asheboro.
Eight Grandchildren and ten Great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Putnam Friends Church with the Rev. Larry McEntire and the Rev. D. L. Hussey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins and other times at the residence.
