Ronald Miko

Ronald Miko, age 68 of Whispering Pines, NC went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2014 surrounded by loved ones by his side at his home.  Ron was born on September 23, 1946 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania to the late Emma Wales.  He moved to Moore County in the 1990's to be closer to family.   He was a retired funeral director and school teacher.  He enjoyed playing his organ and spending time with his family.  Ron was preceded in death by his mother Emma Wales and brother, Jay Miko.  He is survived by his two sisters, Esther Whitely of Belmar, NJ and Becky Dziok of Sanford, NC.  He also has two nephews, Tim Dziok and wife, Stephanie of his home and David Dziok and Ashley Dziok of Sanford, along with other nieces and nephews that live out of state.  He will be buried at Sandhills Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in the name of Ronald Miko should be made to FirstHealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC.
