Ronald “Ron” Duerner passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and cherished memories.

Ron was a devoted and loving father to his children, Amelia and Daniel.  He took immense pride in them and treasured every moment they shared together.

A man of great spirit and passion, Ron felt most at home in the great outdoors. Whether he was out on the open road enjoying his lifelong love of riding motorcycles or tucked away deep in the woods camping, he found an immense sense of peace, freedom, and joy in nature that he loved sharing with others.

While we mourn his passing, we take comfort in the wonderful memories he leaves behind and the impact he had on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, James C. Duerner and Freda Kieser, as well as his brother, James Duerner III. 

Ron is survived by his children, Amelia Duerner of Charlotte; Daniel (Whitney) Duerner of Carthage; Grandchildren, Abel McClain, Olivia, Duerner, Scarlett Duerner, Evelyn Duerner; and his brothers, Gary Duerner; Fred Duerner; and John Duerner; and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

A private service will be held by the family in California at a later date.
