Roy Edward Britt 71, of Robbins surrendered to cancer at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday
March 3, 2013.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Wallace Family cemetery.
Mr. Britt was a native of Moore County. Roy loved tinkering with lawn mowers and he started a small business working on small engines repairs after retiring from Candor Hosiery in 2003. He also loved gardening and listening to old music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney Edward and Cora Bell Wallace Britt, his daughter Bambi Britt Wood, and granddaughter Kelsey Monroe, sisters: Helen 'Tootie' Gordon, Jane Brady, Dora Cagle brother: Robert Britt.
Roy is survived by his wife Betty of 51 years of the home; daughters; Royilyn Derr and husband Ted, Sheri Monroe and husband Tony; four grandchildren, Matthew Scott, Hannah Monroe, Corey Wood and Derian Wood and sister, Esther Hussey.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM till 12:00 PM on Tuesday March 5, 2013
at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins and other times at the home.

So sorry to read of Roy’s passing. Although many years have passed since I have seen Roy, I have many fond memories of him when we were kids. My grandfather lived below his home and we spent many hours running through the woods and playing. I remember him
