Ruby Mae George, 66, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 12:30 PM at Lakeview Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth McNeill officiating.
Ruby was the daughter of the late Otis and Daisy Wilson Lawson. She was a native of Moore County. She worked for many years in the Union Pines High School cafeteria.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis George, Jr. on July 13, 2019, as well as her daughter Lisa Marie Patterson and brothers Raymond and “Bud” Lawson.
She is survived by her sons: James H. Patterson III and wife Kimberly, Michael George and wife Kristen, Kevin George and wife Marsha; daughters: Annette Tedder and husband Scott, Susan Matka and husband Rory, Anna Talbert; brother: James Lawson; sisters: Marie Ring and Phoebe Ford; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services are entrusted to Fry and Prickett Funeral Home.
