Ruby Lineberry Whitaker, age 91, died Tuesday (April 5, 2016) at Moore Regional Hospital.

 

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Pineywood Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul McClure officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

 

A native of Moore County, she was the daughter and the last surviving child of the late James Rufus Lineberry and Sarah Davis Lineberry.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Whitaker.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Judy W. Nash & husband, Bob of Carthage, Donna W. Jones & husband, Norris of Carthage; three sons, Ricky Whitaker & wife, Ann of Carthage, Timothy Whitaker of Raleigh and Rodney Whitaker & wife, Pamela of Sanford; five grandchildren Chasity Thomas and husband Jamie, Ashley Matthews and husband C.W., Bradley Whitaker and wife Lisa, Mark Patterson and wife Amie, Stephen Patterson; three step-grandchildren; Elizabeth Bullard and husband Danny, Dana Edwards and husband Ron, Wendy Rosson and husband Aaron; eight great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.

 

The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday and other times at the home of Ricky and Ann Whitaker.

 

Fry & Prickett Funeral Home is serving the Whitaker family.
