Rusty Lee Hunsucker

Rusty Hunsucker, age 61, passed away July 8, 2026 at First Health Hospice House.

A native of Robbins, he was the son of Norvell Hunsucker and the late Dorothy Ann Maness. 

He attended North Moore High School, class of 1982. 

He was a devoted son, loving father, proud grandfather and passionate golfer. 

He is survived by father and step mother: Norvell Hunsucker and  Dorothy; daughter: Alisha Hunsucker; sons: Ethan Hunsucker (Emily Ryan), Chase Hunsucker; grandsons: Jayden Person, Ryker Hunsucker; sisters:  Jill Smith (Kenneth), Sandra Isaacs, Sharon Chriscoe (Gurnie), Kimberly Hunsucker; many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Rusty will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. The love he shared will continue to live on in our memories forever. 

Funeral service will be 4 pm, Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Needhams Grove Baptist Church, with Pastor D J Harry officiating.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his sister, Sharon Chriscoe.
