Ruth Harrell Muse, 84, of Old Glendon Road in Carthage died Saturday, November 11, 2006 in her home.
Funeral Services 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev Rick Martindale. Burial,with Military Honors, will follow in Cross Hill cemetery.

Survived by one daughter- Carol Muse White and husband Paul of Carthage, 2 sons, James O. Muse and wife Jackie of Ft Myers FL, and Max H. Muse and wife Jeannie of Carthage and 5 grandchildren, Jamison and Jackson Muse of Ft. Myers and Ty and Ben White and Emily Muse, all of Carthage.

She was preceded in death by her husband James B. Muse Jr, her brothers, Max Harrell, William Harrell and sister, Mae Morgan.

A native of Union County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. and W.O. Harrell. She served in the US Navy WAVES during World War II. A graduate of Winthrop College, she was a retired home economics teacher from the Moore County system and a member of Alpha Delta Kappa. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Carthage.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Monday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home and other times at the home of Max Muse at 2720 Old Glendon Road.
