Ruth Cox Jackson, age 84 formerly of 272 Sand Pit Road died Saturday (March 14, 2009) at the Golden Living Center in Lanett, AL.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Deep Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Oscar Logwood. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late Bird Cox and Willie Brown Cox. She retired from J.P. Stevens in Aberdeen after working for 37 years. Her husband James Alexander "Alex" Jackson; sisters Polly Moore, Mattie Higgins and Annie Goodman and brother Reuben Cox all preceded her in death.
She is survived by: daughters Annie Ruth Dick and her husband Harry of Aberdeen, Mary Taylor and her husband James of West Point, GA; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 —8:00 PM Monday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.
