Ryland (Chuck) Edward Mawyer, 78, died Monday June 27th at Manor Care in Pinehurst.

Born April 11, 1933 in Rockfish, VA he was a son of the late Earl and Edmonia McQuary Mawyer.
Mr. Mawyer was a U S Navy Veteran and a Professional Dancer for Arthur Murray Studios.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Moorefield Mawyer of Southern Pines, one son, Tony and his wife, Joni Mawyer of Whispering Pines, two sisters, Gladys Phillips of Powhatan, Va and Charlotte Bradley of Keswick, VA, two brothers, Raymond Mawyer of Richmond, VA and Donald Mawyer of Covesville, VA, and one grandson, Brandon Mawyer
