Sally Ann Schumacher

Dr. Sally Ann Schumacher, 78, of Pinehurst died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at home.
She was attended by Comfort Keepers and soon joined by her brother and his wife.
She was born July 23, 1935 in Washington, D.C. to the late Dr. Francis X. and Muriel Schumacher. Sally received her doctorate at Washington University, Saint Louis, taught at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and retired as a Professor Emeritus in 2002. She coauthored a best selling college textbook on Research Methods which has been through 5 editions.
She is survived by her brother, Donald F. X., and his wife, Marcia Black Schumacher of Seven Lakes North.
Sally requested that no funeral should take place and that her ashes be scattered.
