Shirley Coker Mashburn, 74 of of Bennett passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM. Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at High Falls United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Ken Buckingham and the Rev. Tal Madison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Mashburn was a native of Moore County, She worked in Medical Records at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. Shirley loved life and lived to the fullest, her greatest enjoyments were her family, friends, taking photographs and North Moore Athletics. She was a blessing to all she came in contact with and they were all a blessing to her. She was preceded in death by her husband John Robert Mashburn, Father: Ralph Coker and Brother: Farrell Coker.
Surviving is: son, John Robert Mashburn, Jr. and wife Tracy of Vass.
Daughter: Tina Mashburn Hussey and husband Randy of Robbins.
Grandchildren: Traci Hussey Maness and husband Brad of Robbins, Jessica Mashburn of Greensboro and Whitney Hussey of Robbins.
Great-grandchildren: Isaiah and Josie Maness.
Mother: Lena Coker of Carolina House Asheboro, formerly of Robbins.
Brother: Eugene Coker and wife Jane of Seagrove.
Sister: Gail Coker Haworth and husband Brooks of Greensboro.
Sister-in-laws: Denyse Coker of Greensboro and Catherine Brown of Hillsborough.
Several nieces and nephews and very special friends.
The family will receive friends 6:00 " 8:00 PM. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins and other times at the home 157 Will Shields Rd. Bennett.
