Shirley Hussey Brower, 71 of 7790 Jugtown Rd. died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at FirstHealth of the Carolinas Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Funeral service will held 2:00 PM. Friday, February 13, 2009 at Smyrna United Methodist Church where she was a member, with the Pastor Tal Madision and Jimmy Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Moore County and a retired employee of Klaussner Furniture Industries; she was the daughter of Newton and Pearl Hussey.

Surviving is husband: Edwin Brower of the home.
3 daughters: Sandra Allred and husband David of Robbins, Sharon Haunhorst and husband Jay of Carthage and Lisa Kennedy and husband Gary of Seagrove.
Son: Toby Edwin Brower of Seagrove.
Brothers: Jack Hussey, Arnold Dean Hussey and Larry Hussey all of Robbins.
Sisters: Nancy Chisholm of Asheboro and Bonnie Phillips of Vass.
6 grandchildren: Hannah Simpson of Seagrove, Jeremy Allred of Southern Pines, Emily Page of Robbins, Brittany and Lindsay Kennedy of Seagrove and Austin Dunlap of Seagrove.
Great-grandchildren: Lexi Page of Robbins, Emily and Eli Simpson of Seagrove.

The family will receive friends 6:00 " 8:00 PM. Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins and other times at the home of her daughter Lisa Kennedy 312 Upper Rd. Seagrove.
