It is with deep sadness that the family of Steve Cooperman (87) announce his passing on February 23, 2025, at Peak Resources-Pinelake in Carthage, NC.
A beloved husband, father and grandfather Steve will be remembered for his very warm & kind nature by his family and the many friends he made throughout his life. Steve’s professional career in electronic sales and management brought him from Long Island, NY to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in the early 1970’s. In 1983, Steve met his wife, Sandy, and they were married in 1985. Steve was an avid golfer and upon his retirement in 1998, he and Sandy relocated to Pinehurst, NC. He soon went to work part time for Pinewild CC in golf operations where he worked for almost 14 yrs. His family and friends (new and old) knew Steve as a humble, soft-spoken man who never had an unkind word for anyone.
Besides his loving wife, Sandy, Steve is survived by his two sons from a previous marriage, Glenn Cooperman and Paul Arnold, four grandchildren and four-great grandchildren and a niece, Ellen Tannenbaum.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Moe and Mollie Cooperman, his sister, Susan and brother-in-law, Gerry Tannenbaum and a niece, Debbie Tannenbaum.
At the family’s request, no service will be held. If you wish to donate in Steve’s honor, please give to a charity of your choice.
May Steve’s memory always bring a smile to your face.
The family of Steve Cooperman would like to thank the medical staff & operations staff at Peak Resources-Pinelake for their compassionate care and kindness during Steve’s two-year residence in long-term care.
