Susan C. Lucas 96, of 2371 River Road, was called home Monday, July 26, 2010 at her residence with her family by her side.
Mrs. Lucas was a native of Moore County and loved the Lord. She served in many areas of His church. Mrs. Lucas was employed by Moore County Schools at High Falls Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eliza Foushee, her husband, Reverend J. E. Lucas, Sr., and her son, Reverend J. E. Lucas Jr.
She is survived by daughter, Sharon Barton and husband Marvin, son, Henry and wife Barbara, grandchildren, Kesha Hutton, Tonya Echols, Phyllis Lucas, James Patrick Lucas, Anthony Lucas, Eric Lucas, Jeffery Lucas, Maurice Barton, Marvin Barton, fourteen great grand children.
The family will receive friends at a Wake from 7-8 PM Friday July 30, 2010 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
