Sylvia Jean McNeill, age 66, died Thursday (June 28, 2012) at the O'Berry Center in Goldsboro, NC.
A funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, at Horsehoe Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Rowland Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late, Joseph N. McNeill & Lucy Nall McNeill. A native of Moore County, she was mentally handicapped from birth and spent the last several years of her life at the O'Berry Center in Goldsboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Faye McNeill & a brother, Darrell McNeill.
Survivors included a sister, Priscilla Gordon & husband, Jimmy of Bear Creek and a brother, Larry McNeill & wife, Carolyn of Carthage and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home.
