Tara Gwyn Sanders,52, died Saturday, February 11, 2023, at her home.

Tara is survived by mother: Nancy Garrett; brother: Shannon Sanders; daughters: Jenna Smith (Tony) Katie Bastida (Gustavo); son: Brian Minor;  8 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Tara was born June 27, 1970 in Chatham County.  She worked for Home Builder System and also as an in-home caregiver for many years.   Tara loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.  She loved her pet cats and also had a love for horses.  Tara was a daughter of the late Leon Sanders.

Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, February 17, 2023 at Kennedy Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Pleasant View Christian Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 PM.

    Tara was the first friend Shelby made when we moved here from New Orleans. We lived next to her Granny on Hemp Street in Robbins at the time. No matter where I saw Tara she was always the same young girl we first knew. She will be missed by many. We love you, Tara.
