Thelma Ritter Garner 66, passed away Monday October 5, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family.  

 

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, October 9, 2015 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Reverend David Woodhouse officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   

 

Thelma was a native of Moore County, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved the Lord and her church family. Thelma enjoyed reading, traveling,especially to the beach and the opportunity to greet folks with her smile. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ellis and Lillie Clark Ritter; brother: Tommy Ritter; sister: Norma Maness.

 

Thelma is survived by her husband of 47 years, Norris Garner; daughter Brooke Myrick and husband David of Robbins; son Mark Garner and wife Candace, of Robbins; grandchildren: Dylan Moore, Shayla and Blake Garner, Austin and Luke Myrick; sisters: Inez Reynolds, Shirley Hinson and Rachel Ritter; brother; Billy Ritter and wife Wendy, brother in law: Grant Maness; many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

 

Memorials  may be made to Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 203 Smyrna Church Road, Robbins, NC 27325 .

 

Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Garner Family.
