It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Thelma Louise Sanders,73, on July 28, 2023 at Peak Resources Pinelake, Carthage, NC..
Thelma was born September 17, 1946 to Nelson Webster and Gladys Morgan Sanders in Moore County. She was a graduate of Elise High School. Thelma lived in Moore County her entire life. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed caring for her home and extended family. She was the baby sitter for all of her nieces and nephews. She is fondly remembered by each one of them for the care they received in their early years of life. She was a lifelong member of Pleasant View Friends Church. Thelma also enjoyed all the many dogs and cats that were her pets over the years. Thelma enjoyed making others laugh and taking horse and buggy rides when she could. In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by sister: Hazel Robinson; brothers: John David Sanders, Leon Sanders; niece Tara Sanders.
Thelma is survived by nephews: Shannon Sanders (Heather), Tim Robinson (Frances), David Sanders (Candice); nieces: Robin Wright (Richard), Angie L. Robinson, Becky Sanders Tosh, Sara Sanders Dube (Tony); other extended family and friends.
A private Memorial service will be planned.

I was so sorry to hear about Thelma. You could not find a sweeter person. In school she was more reserved but always willing to help any one.

I met Thelma years ago when she came to my home with her close companion, Frank Sipes. I quickly learned how devoted they were to each other. My sympathy goes out to her entire family and to Frank who will dearly miss her.
