Theresia K. O'Neal, 64, of Carthage, North Carolina, passed away December 3, 2016.  She was born December 13, 1952, at Duke Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. She spent years of her life in North Carolina, New York and on Martha's Vineyard. She returned home to North Carolina many years ago.   She is survived by her two daughters, Theresia Bettencourt of Whispering Pines, North Carolina and Maya Moran of Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. Other family members who will miss her are her grand children Joshua, Elijah, Lily, Ella and Macallan, and her brothers Renaldo and Tyree and sisters Pam and Carolyn. She will also be missed by friends and staff at Tara Plantation.    Theresia worked many years as a home health care provider where she was loving and caring to families. She loved taking care of people and continued to do so even while living at Tara Plantation. Her family and friends will remember her as one of the sweetest and most giving people they ever knew.    Theresia's family wishes to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Tara Plantation for their care and support. A memorial service will take place at Tara Plantation,  Sunday, December 11th at 2:00 .    Memorials may be made to: Tara Plantation, 820 S.   1. Teresa and family, I am so sorry for your loss a wonderful, kind, loving person. I am sure she is up in heaven with Leda and they are having a ball. I wish these two could have been with us on earth a while longer. I am sure they will be watching over us.
