Toby Edwin Brower, 59, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at UNC Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, with Reverend David Woodhouse and Dr. Ron Chaney officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 PM and at other times at the home of his sister, Lisa Kennedy.

Toby loved the freedom of being outdoors.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding four wheelers.  Time spent riding horses on the trail or in parades with his friends, was very special to him.  Toby enjoyed good country cooking and loved his family very much. He was an electrician by trade and enjoyed being able to see a job well done. Toby was the son of the late Shirley Hussey Brower and was preceded in death by an infant son, Toby Lee Brower..  

Toby is survived by daughter: Hannah Simpson; son: Austin Dunlap; 6 grandchildren; father; Edwin Brower; sisters: Sandra Allred and husband David, Sharon Haunhorst and husband Jay, Lisa Kennedy and husband Gary; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UNC Trauma Medicine, 123 West Franklin Street, Suite 510, Chapel Hill, NC 27516  or Ronald McDonald House, 101 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27517.
