Tracy Edward Ritter, 80, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at his daughter’s home, surrounded by his family.
Funeral Service will be 2 PM, Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, with Reverend David Woodhouse officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Tracy was a native of Moore County. He worked in construction and retired from Perdue. Tracy enjoyed quail hunting, raising Jersey cows and going to the cow sale. One of his favorite pastime was watching NASCAR. He loved everyone, especially his granddaughters and had so much fun with his great grandchildren. Tracy was a son of the late Elmer and Ethel Hussey Ritter and was preceded in death by brothers: Earl Ritter, Lacy Ritter, Howard Ritter; sister: Bonnie Lewallen.
Tracy is survived by his wife, of 55 years, Mabel Garner Ritter; daughters: Karen Anderson (Tom), of Robbins, Wanda Ritter (Steve); granddaughters: Samantha Colbert (Curtis), of Advance, Jessica Dunn(Garland), of Robbins; great grandchildren: Alexis, Brooklynn, Calleigh, Wyatt; sisters: Doris Garner (Jerry), Sue Clark (James); brothers: Vernie Ritter (Lois), June Ritter (Donna), many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, December 11, 2017 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his daughter, Wanda.
