Velon Hussey, 82, passed away Friday September 4, 2015 with her family by her side.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm. Wednesday September 9, 2015 at Smyrna United Methodist Church Robbins NC, with the Reverend David Woodhouse officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Velon was a native of Moore County. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as sewing and making quilts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tracy and Nora Hussey Kennedy, husband, James C. Hussey,and grandson, Michael Hussey.
Velon is survived by her children : Christopher Hussey of Ramseur NC, Michael Hussey of Monongahela PA., Pamela Gruber and husband Jack of Belle Vernon. PA., Dan Hussey and wife Nola of Moncure, NC, and Greg Hussey and wife Linda of Woodville, AL., 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the service at the Smyrna United Methodist Church Family Life Center.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Randolph County for the excellent care and compassion for their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

We are very sorry to hear of your loss. Ms. Velon was a sweet, beautiful lady. We have missed seeing her at church so much. We will hold you in our prayers.
