Vera (Burb) E. (Spinks) Tryon 92, died Monday, February 15 , 2016, at her home.
Graveside ceremony will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Pine Rest Cemetery, with the Reverend Kenneth McNeil officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins. Vera was born February 5, 1924 in Moore County to the late Cora (McNeil) Spinks and Peter Dalton Spinks. She lived and raised her family in Terre Haute, Indiana and moved back to North Carolina after the death of her husband, of 50 years, Donald E. Tryon, in the mid 90’s. She was also preceded in death by brothers: Grady Spinks, Bennie Spinks, Paul Spinks; sister: Ruth Ballard.
Vera is survived by daughters: Patricia and husband, Lee Underwood, of Santa Rosa Beach, FL., Linda and husband, Robert Trombetta, of Atlanta, GA., sister: Christine Stewart, of Robbins; sister-in-laws: Mae Spinks, of Asheboro, Doris Tryon, of Terre Haute, Indiana.
