Vera S. Maness

Vera S. Maness 67 of 1548 Leaman Rd.. Robbins died Thursday November 10, 2011 at Manor Care in Pinehurst.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday November 12, 2011 at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Edwin Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A native of Moore County, she lived a happy life and everyone that ever went to visit her always left with a blessing. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Ruby Shields and she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Edward Maness, a sister Laverne Ritter and three brothers, Paul Shields, Frank Shields and W.C. Shields. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1970 and enjoyed life until the end. She was a dedicated member of the Acorn Ridge Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Dawn Maness of the home, one son, Mark Maness of Robbins, one sister, Clara L. Shields of Robbins, two brothers, Clyde and James Shields both of Robbins, five grandchildren, Amber Vancleef, Colton Maness, Justin Maness, Cortney Maness, and Aden Burton, three great grandchildren, Brasen, Jase, and Zebediah Vancleef.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 -2:00 PM on Saturday November 12, 2011 at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church.
