Virgie Walker Stanley, age 90 died Wednesday (11/3/2010) at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Red Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott McInnis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born in Pittslyvania County, Virginia she was the last of seven children of the late Charlie Fletcher Walker and Hettie Lee Lipford Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Vance Stanley and her grandson, Andy Badgett.
Survivors include her daughters, Bertha Crabtree & husband, Ralph of Clayton and Patricia Badgett & husband, Harold of Fairmont; grandchildren, Randall Badgett & wife, Penny; Kenneth Crabtree & wife, Darlene; Mark Crabtree & wife, Bridget; Nancy Burgart & husband, Jody; twelve great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
