Vicki Maness Phillips, 74 , passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. 

Vicki was born in Moore County on July 10, 1951. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. Vicki had a passion for flowers. She had several jobs working in local florists and owned “Midway Florist” at her home for several years. Vicki was a dedicated custodian with Moore County Schools for 30 years. She loved her work and put in countless hours with school-related activities such as Santa’s Workshop and Fall Festivals. Vicki enjoyed music, dancing and spending time with family and friends. She was a daughter of the late Floyd Phillp and Julia Doris Cockman Maness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Darrell, sister Phyllis Sweat and brothers Randy and Barry Maness.

She is survived by sons: Wayne Phillips and wife Pansie, Kevin Phillips; daughters: Tonya Beane, Kim Brown and husband Tony; grandchildren: Megan, Michael, Laurin, Kristen, Andrew; great grandchildren: Chezlynne, Mason, Maliki, Mackenzie, Catie Blaire; Brothers Michael and Don Maness; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be  3 PM, Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Unity Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Jason Cheek.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service  beginning at 2 PM and at other times at the home.

  4. To Vicki’s Family, I grew up with Randy, Barry, Vicki. They were my friends, along with Michael and Don. Vicki was a very nice lady and was very nice to me. She was friendly and outgoing, heart of gold. Vicki and Barry looked the most alike. I know she will be missed and I Pray that our Lord will comfort you now and in the days to come. I am also very sorry that I will not be able to attend her services, but Vicki and the family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
