Vida Sanders Richardson 90, was peacefully called home to be with her Lord, Thursday, December 8, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Robbins First Wesleyan Church with the Reverend Sam Swinney and Reverend Gary Waisner officiating.. Burial will follow at Browns Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.
Vida will be remembered for her love of life and great devotion to her family and friends. She greeted everyone with a smile, words of kindness and a hug. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Vida was a dedicated employee of Milliken Textile Industry in Robbins for over 40 years. After retiring, she enjoyed shopping trips, traveling, working in her yard and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband Blain 'Skinny' Richardson, parents: Grover and Nepsie McKenzie Sanders, sisters: Monnie White and infant Faye Sanders, brothers: Raymond, Reid, Major, JD and Clark Sanders, granddaughter: Karen Brewer.
Vida is survived by son: Cleve Richardson and wife Wanda, of Eagle Springs, daughter: Becky Brewer and husband Keith, of Robbins, sisters: Geraldine Moore of Eagle Springs, Louvene Fields of Carthage, Velna Newberry of Plymouth, grandchildren: Jimmy Richardson of Eagle Springs, Brian Brewer of Robbins and Lori Brewer Johnson of Robbins, great grandchildren: Mikala Richardson, Noah Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Caden Parker, Trenton Johnson and Alexia Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins and at other times at 180 Moore Street, Robbins.
