Virginia C. Tyson, age 87 of Carthage died Wednesday (September 23, 2009) at Peak Resources —Pinelake in Carthage.
A graveside service will be 3:00 PM Friday at Cross Hill Cemetery conducted by Pastor Jim Boyte. The family will receive friends at the residence on Sunset Drive Thursday evening.
She was a native of Badin, NC and was a daughter of the late Paul Lee Coggin and Wilma Rockfield Coggin. She was a graduate of Presbyterian School of Nursing in Charlotte and was a retired registered nurse. She worked at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst for 38 years, 22 of which she was the nursing supervisor.
She is survived by: her daughter Marcia Kelly of Carthage; brother George Coggin of Monroe; grandchildren Scott Kelly and wife Marie of Reidsville, Keith Kelly and wife Angie of Carthage, Brad Kelly and wife Rachelle of Charlotte; seven great-grandchildren.
