Vivian Marie Perry

Vivian Marie Perry, age 73, of West End, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at First Health Hospice House.

Born in Fayetteville, NC, she was the cherished daughter of the late Curtis Wilson and Myrtle Packer. Vivian spent many dedicated years working as a talented seamstress at a local textile mill. 

She possessed a deep passion for sewing, famously crafting her son’s Halloween costumes every year with care and love. She loved the outdoors and road trips. Vivian was an amazing Southern cook who brought joy and comfort to her family around the dining table. She held a special place in her heart for her dog, Betsy.

In addition to her parents, Vivian is preceded in death by her brothers, Darrell, Darren, David, and William Wilson; and her sisters, Eveline Moye, Ethelene Coleman, and Patricia Hall.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Brett Perry; her children, son Kawika Lau of St. Simons Island, GA, and daughter Holly Lau (Paul) Abraham of Mt. Morris, MI; her brother-in-law, Roy Coleman; her sisters, Diann (Lanny) Patterson of Whispering Pines, NC, Joyce Horton of St. Pauls, NC, Susie (Max) Patterson of Sanford, NC, Brenda Ebey of Greenwood, LA, and Denise Kennedy of Milino, FL; her brother, Faron (Michelle) Wilson of Farmington, AL; four grandsons, Alexander Lau, Kainoa Lau, Kamalei Lau, Isaac Abraham; four granddaughters, Ana (Braden) Colbert, Marigona Lau, Milani Abraham, and Kalani Abraham; her great-grandson, McClain Colbert; her great-granddaughter, Amelia Colbert; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Doubs Chapel United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Donald Burns. A time of fellowship will follow the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
