Walter Ruffin Marley 84,, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC..
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Flint Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Reverend William Hancock and Reverend Mark Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Marley was a native of Moore County. He was a retired truck driver. He was a son of the late Ernest Carson and Nespie Mae Cockman Marley and was preceded in death by daughter. Wima Marley
Walter is survived by his wife of 62 years, Flossie Ometa Helms Marley, daughters: Wanda Marley, of Robbins, Rose Russell, of Biscoe, Linda Sheffield and husband Wayne of Robbins, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters: Martha Love, Pearl Buie, Prillia Brown and Frances Stanley
The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Flint Hill Baptist Church and at other times at the home.
Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Marley family.
