Bracy Wayne Chavis, age 59 of Carthage, died Wednesday (June 5, 2012) at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00.
A native of Robeson County he lived most of his life in Carthage. He was a graduate of Union Pines High School and worked in construction.
He is survived by: a daughter Raven Chavis of TX; son Bracy Lee Chavis, II of the home; his parents Bracy Lee and Grace Ann Hunt Chavis of Carthage; sisters Carlene Saldana of Aberdeen, Kathy Chavis of Carthage, Gale Morgan and husband Gerald of Robbins; brother Lynn Chavis of Carthage, Tony Chavis and wife Sandy of Carthage.
