Wendell Graham Hussey

wendell hussey

Wendell Graham Hussey, 63, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Moore Regional Hospital.

Wendell attended Randolph County Schools.  He was a very hard worker at whatever he was doing. He had several years of perfect attendance at work.  He loved horses and owned several through the years.  He enjoyed NASCAR, a big fan of Bill Elliott. Wendell was also a farmer, raising corn, growing fescue and oats for hay; and working on whatever was “broken down” at the moment.  Family trips to the beach were always fun, playing in the ocean with Aubrey and Kolbie.  He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.  He was known for his big heart and generous spirit.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  He was the son of the late Graham and Ruth Kennedy Hussey and was preceded in death by sister: Wanda Chalflinch.

Wendell is survived by wife: Lisa Hussey, of the home; daughter: Aubrey Hussey, of the home; son: Frankie Shaw (Stacie), of Robbins; grandsons: Kolbie, Adin, Trace; sister: Wilda Hussey; brother: Wayne Hussey (Janice); and many friends.

Funeral service will be 2 PM, Monday, February 13, 2023 at Needhams Grove Baptist Church, with Reverend Arnold Comer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 PM at the church.

Kennedy Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hussey family.
