William “Bill” Lunney

william “bill” lunney

Bill Lunney left this world on Wednesday bound for greater projects.

As an engineer, he always strived to raise the bar.  “What is the right thing to do”, he would always say before overcoming any monumental task.
He was  fascinated by ships that used the wind to power them and in awe of those who braved past the edge of the unknown in ships of wood powered by cloth, and true to form upon retirement from a career of careful planning, fixing, and charting found his way on a voyage along the intercoastal with his son.
He is survived by his wife, his sons, a sister and brother, who all will miss his smile, his kind words and his laughter.
A celebration of life will be held on November 16, 2024 from 2-4 pm at Pine Crest Inn in Pinehurst.
Fry & Prickett Funeral Home is serving the Lunney family.
