William E. 'Buck' Collins age 80 died Tuesday (11/2/2010) at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Victory Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Garner, Rev. John Chavis, Rev. Eugene Ussery and Rev. Bucky Hendricks officiating. Committal will be in the church cemetery conducted my Rev. Gregg Newton.
He was the son of the late William Thomas Collins and Annie Jane Patterson Collins. Buck retired from the NC Dept of Transportation as a supervisor in the paving division. He was preceded in death by: his wife of 55 years Joyce McCleney Collins; brother Prentice Patterson; sisters Marguree Bullitt and Bettyrene Richardson.
He is survived by: daughters, Kay Wilson & husband Dan and Emily Collins both of West End and three sons, William Collins & wife, Sue of Vass, Owen Collins and wife, Susan of Carthage and Richard Collins & wife, Barbara of West End; sister Mary Bullard and husband Lester of Sanford; brothers Albert Collins and wife Ethel of Carthage, Waylon Collins and wife Johnsie, Roy Collins and wife Mary all of West End; nephew Jimmy Collins and many other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Victory Community Baptist Church and at other times at the residence.
