William F. Rigby, 86, of Southern Pines, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House.

He was born July 30, 1933, in Suffolk County Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Phillip and Anne Rigby.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. You may contact the family for more information.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Renate, his son David, his sisters Ellen and Joan, and his brother John.

William is survived by his daughter Donna Rigby-Groff of Southern Pines, his brother Philip Rigby of Oak Hill, Florida, his grandson Derek Baumgartner of New Caney, Texas, his three granddaughters, Danielle Baumgartner, Dejonna Groff, and Dannah Groff of Southern Pines, and two great grandchildren.
