William Mitchell Amey, 98, died Tuesday July 12, 2011.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29th in the Chapel of Transconfiguration at Penick Village with Rev. Patsy Smith officiating.
Born May 29, 1913 in Brooklyn, NY he was a son of the late Charles and Alice Payne Amey and husband of the late Eleanor Stallman Amey.
Mr. Amey was a Contract Administrator for Washington National Airport.
He is survived by three daughters; Elizabeth M. and husband Garrett L. Hutsko, Judith A. Amey, and Barbara J. and husband Truman G. Guckert, one son; Charles P. Amey, five grandchildren; Corrie J. Hogan, Andrew I. Guckert, Kelly A. Guckert, Jessica M. and husband R. Wayne Adams, Sarah M. Guckert, and eight great grandchildren.
